After leaving education, S. P. Muir had a varied career including the fields of retail, motorcycling, management, and after that, interior design. He eventually realised his lifelong dream and became a writer. He now lives in a picturesque village at the edge of England's beautiful Lake District. Here the beauty and tranquility really help the creative ink flow.

"Motorcycles have always been an obsession with me. So after much prodding by my friends, I decided it was time to pen to paper (electronically speaking) and recount my experiences as a 1980s London motorcycle messenger. I've written them down in three books, and who knows, maybe I'll be tempted to recount some of my adventures and mishaps as a spotty teenager in the age of the Japanese two-stroke.

"I began writing as soon as I could hold a pen. Poetry and short stories poured from my imagination but they were all for my own pleasure. In many ways, the world that sets the stage for THE SAGA OF THE TWINS OF ARL has been with me all my life. At last I have the opportunity to share that world with others. Fantasy was always my favourite choice when reading and it will always be my favourite style of writing."

I never thought about writing children's books. But then one day, my granddaughter said those magic words: "Grandad, can you write a book for children..."
How could I resist.

"I have always been a keen student of the Bible. I'm fascinated by both the history of Christianity, and by the contents of God's Word. A recent epiphany led me to write my first Christian themed novel. I'm sure it is only the first of many such works."
